10 Must Have Essential Oils for Teachers!

So with the new school year coming up quickly I am using my Young Living Essential Oils like CRAZY! So I wanted to share the top essential oils that teachers should definitely use this year!

With a class full of students, it is so common for germs to spread like wildfire! A cough here, a sneeze there, little Johnny who likes to touch EVERYTHING in the classroom after blowing his nose. You know it happens! So, we as teachers need to try our best to keep the classroom safe and clean for not only our students, but ourselves!

Here are some of the top Essential Oils and Young Living Products I would recommend for your school year!

  1. Thieves Essential Oil Blend: this is a MUST have because it supports a healthy immune function. You can simply diffuse it daily in your classroom or take it as a dietary supplement. Thieves Essential Oil has Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil, which helps promote a healthy respiratory system which will come in handy during those cold and flu months!

  2. Thieves Hand Spray: This is another product of Young Living that I actually carry in my purse EVERYWHERE! It has so many wonderful uses! It is ideal to use on desks and tables to wipe up germs, on door handles and other surfaces to clean up those unwanted germs!

  3. Thieves Waterless Hand Purifier: Alright y’all THIS is amazing! So most hand sanitizers  dry out your hands and honestly to me feels like it’s getting NOTHING done. Their Hand Purifier is amazing! Their Hand Purifier has moisturizing emollients, like aloe vera, enrich our formula and add hydrating benefits. It also contains natural peppermint oil to purify and cleanse your hands!

  4. Thieves Hand Soap: Yes y’all their Thieves line has EVERYTHING! This soap smells like pure bliss. I have this is all of the bathrooms in my house. Young Living blended their Lemon, Orange and Thieves Essential Oils with other natural ingredients to create this gently and effective chemical free soap!

  5. Purification Essential Oil Blend: Alright y’all, this blend is one of my favorites. Not just because of it’s purifying benefits, but it smells great! This blend is made up of six essential oils for the ultimate weapon against odors. Citronella, Lavandin, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Myrtle, and Tea Tree work together to create a refreshing, bright scent that keeps you and your family happy and comfortable. I love using the blend after Recess when my students are a weeeeeeeee smelly after all the running around in the heat!

  6. Peppermint essential oil is one of those oils that has been said to improve cognitive function, concentration, alertness and keeping your energy up! Those days when the kids are just silly or have a big test to take, diffusing Peppermint oil does WONDERS! When my students had their benchmark tests they were always so nervous and I would place a few drops in my diffuser or on a cotton ball and place it in the air vents and my students LOVED IT!

  7. Speaking of tests and the anxiety that comes with it Young Living’s Stressaway blend is a handy, unique blend with a combination of Lime and Vanilla pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils. This aroma that is the perfect blend of tropical and citrus, Stress Away is uniquely relaxing and comforting. This is my FAVORITE essential oil (hence the name stress awayessentials) for those days when anxiety just gets the best of you.

  8. En-R-Gee essential oil blend is a revitalizing blend of pure Rosemary, Juniper, Lemongrass, and other essential oils that has an uplifting and energizing aroma. I love to use this oil after my students have had a long weekend or break to get them back in the groove of school!

  9. RC is another beautiful smelling Young Living blend containing 3 types of Eucalyptus Oils; E. globulus, E. radiata, and E. citriodora. This blend can be mixed a carrier oil and used like a massage oil. This routine creates a relaxing spa-like experience and can even help when your day demands that you be out and about earlier than usual. Its robust scent will help you perk up as your day begins.

  10. Last, but CERTAINLY not least is Peace & Calming. If there was such a thing as Gold in a Bottle, Peace & Calming is definitely that. This essential oil is a gentle, sweet blend of Ylang Ylang, Orange, Tangerine, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy. It’s comforting aroma helps create a relaxed and calming environment for your classroom.

Whether you are a teacher yourself, or thinking of a teacher gift idea, these essential oils should be something to consider! Best of luck to you all and I hope you have a fantastic school year!
May the Oils be in your Favor!

The last thing I wanted to share and recommend to the teachers out there and honestly ANYONE looking for something to help them with their stress or anxieties from work or life in general is trying out diffuser jewelry!

As most of you probably know you can use enjoy the benefits of essential oils aromatically by using diffusers. Well, you can also diffuse essential oils on jewelry as well! Some of the best mediums for diffusing essential oils are with Lava Rocks/Lava Beads and Tassels! I have an Etsy Store where I have created some of my favorite pieces of aromatherapy jewelry and even lanyards! If you are interested in diffuser jewelry feel free to check it out.

  • If you have any questions regarding how the oils work on these mediums or if you would like a custom order please don’t hesitate to contact me! I love working with you on a design that truly matches your style!
